Empowering Families to Navigate the Special Education Process with Confidence
About Dr. Tessa Kranski:
Your Partner in Special Education Advocacy
If you're a parent, caregiver, or professional who wants to get it right for a child with special needs — especially in those critical early years — I see you. And I can help.
I’m Dr. Tessa Kranski, founder of Kranski Consulting. I’m a nationally certified school psychologist with over 10 years of experience, specializing in early childhood special education (birth to five). I help families and professionals decode the IEP process, advocate effectively, and get the services kids actually need — not just what’s easiest for the system to provide.
But what matters most? I get it. I’ve been the person across the table — explaining evaluations, calming nerves, and making the complex feel doable. I’ve helped hundreds of families go from overwhelmed to empowered. And my clients know I’ll show up with both strategy and heart.
Here’s what a professional I recently worked with said about working with me:
“Tessa has consistently been a person of integrity, resilience, deep knowledge of self and others, and a kind, compassionate human… She embodies the unique skills and personal traits that align so well with working with individuals who are navigating life with special needs.”
Why I’m here:
Whether you’re preparing for your first IEP meeting, hitting roadblocks with your child's school/current IEP, or just need someone who knows the system and will walk with you through it — you don’t have to do it alone.
I work virtually with families, professionals, and schools anywhere in the U.S. to understand the IEP process, evaluations, and children’s rights under IDEA.
I advocate confidently and collaboratively with families and schools to ensure a child’s educational plan truly reflects their needs and necessary services.
I offer individual consulting, document reviews, meeting prep, and strategy sessions tailored to your child’s or client’s unique needs.
I also create content and trainings for schools, providers, and community organizations.
Let’s make early support work the way it’s meant to.
Empowerment Through Knowledge
As a parent or caregiver, you shouldn’t have to fight alone to get your child the support they deserve. I believe that when families are informed, prepared, and confident, they can create meaningful change—not just for their own child, but for the system as a whole.
